So you decided to watch a Roland Emmerich disaster movie. You better not be complaining how predictable and unrealistic is it cause you’re watching an Emmerich disaster movie. If you are, you’re probably the same people who go watch a Michael Bay movie just to complain it has too many explosions. So if that’s you, WHY ARE YOU READING A REVIEW ON THIS MOVIE. Do us all a favor and just stop using the internet.
Is there a 2012: The Video Game? Cause I’d love to play a game were you had to drive through a city avoiding spontaneous fissures, falling buildings (or drive through them), and then make it to an airplane just to do it all over in again in the sky. It could be a Burnout expansion, Burnout: Disaster Movie.
As for the movie, it was 2 hours and 38 mins of mind-numbing awesome-ness.
What, you expected more? It’s a Emmerich disaster movie!

SPOILERS!
Day 8: 4:00AM – 5:00AM. The episode was going so well, CTU was dead in the water, Jack and his team were stuck alone in a fire fight against the bad guys. The CTU story was entertaining with Chloe whipping out a gun to get the job done right. Even Renee, miss whiney I-don’t-know-how-I-can-live-with-myself-fml Renee, appeared and kicked some ass.
And then there was Dana, the center of THE WORST subplot of 24. Did we really need to suffer through 13 episodes of that crap just to get to this twist? There isn’t even any connection between the stupid dead-rotting-in-a-swamp ex and this twist. But I guess I should just be happy that story is pretty well shoved into a vent now, at least until it can be conveniently uncovered at the worst possible time.
There’s eleven episodes left to redeem this season and, admittedly, this was a good start for the 2nd half. Just don’t nose dive like the first half did after the first few hours!
